“My child would NEVER eat kale or salmon!”
Can you relate?
It can certainly be difficult to get a picky eater to try a superfood.
🥗 But I have a trick for you that is guaranteed to help you get superfoods (yes, even kale!) into your little one’s belly. 🥗
All superfoods have a high concentration and variety of:
- healthy fats
- quality protein
Superfoods do NOT have:
- added sugars
- artificial ingredients
- harmful toxins
So, what are some of my favorite superfoods?
- Gluten-free oats
- Green Tea
- Flax Seeds
- Goji Berries
How do you get your little one to eat these superfoods?
It’s one thing to get them to eat blueberries…that’s not too hard…but kale or wheatgrass?! That’s a whole different ball game!
But I am certain this trick will help you! Are you ready for it?
Sneak superfoods in!
Yep. That’s it. That’s the trick!
Your kids won’t even realize they are eating kale or broccoli! And you can rest easy knowing you are providing your family with great nutrition!
Now, you might be thinking, “Okay, but how do you sneak them in exactly?”
I use Paleovalley Organic Supergreens powder or Your Super Greens Powder. I add one of these powders to muffins or other baked goods. (I’ve even added a little bit to spaghetti sauce before and my kids didn’t even notice!)
These supergreen powders are full of:
- And More (depending on which powder you choose)
Basically all of the things that you wish you could get your children to eat, but always end up putting up a fight.
Paleovalley even sent me this great recipe to share with you today!
Banana-Nut Nutrient Muffins
- 3 extra ripe bananas, mashed well
- ⅓ cup + 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 scoop Paleovalley Supergreens
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon allspice
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- Thinly sliced banana
- ⅓ cup chopped pecans for topping
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Add paper muffin tins to the muffin pan.
In a large bowl mix almond butter, egg, and vanilla. Use a hand mixer to combine, or whisk together vigorously. Add in your mashed banana and combine until smooth.
Add in almond flour and Organic Supergreens, then evenly add baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt. Use a large spoon spatula to gently combine until no lumps are present in the batter.
Evenly distribute the batter into 9 muffin cups, about ⅔ of the way full. Top each with sliced banana and chopped pecans as desired.
Bake muffins for 12-18 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Muffins will rise and cracks should appear when done. Allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator to eat all week long!
Doesn’t it sound delicious?!
