? Top 3 Lessons Learned in 2021 ?

2021 was a big year for me, both personally and professionally. 

Personally, I got to visit my family in Australia. I hadn’t seen my parents and other relatives in over 4 years!!! It was so wonderful to get to see my mom and dad and the rest of the family. 

Professionally, my business has grown in ways I never would have imagined. My free Facebook support group for parents of children with ADHD now has over 17,000 members. I am blown away by the support these parents give each other day in and day out. (Sidenote: are you part of this group? If not, join today! It’s totally free!)  

I also learned a lot in 2021 and wanted to send out a quick message to you today, sharing my top 3 lessons learned.

Top 3 Lessons Learned in 2021: 

?It’s okay for your goals, dreams, and desires to change. 

I used to think that if I set a goal, I needed to stick with it until I achieved it. 

And if I didn’t, then I failed. 

This year, I’ve realized it’s okay to shift. 

Changing paths does not mean I’m a failure. It just means I changed my mind. 

And change can be a VERY GOOD thing!

?I can do hard things. 

Believe it or not, I really don’t like being on camera. That might seem hard to believe if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram or YouTube because I do a lot of  videos, but it’s 100% the truth! 

Videos are WAY outside of my comfort zone, but this year, I have learned that I can do things, even when they are hard for me. 

And if I make mistakes, it’s okay.

Mistakes are evidence I tried! 

? It’s important to admire the little things. 

Life is in the little things. 

Thinking back on the past year, my family had a few big moments (like our trip to Australia to see my family), but that trip was only a few weeks. Most of my year wasn’t made up of the big moments, but the small ones. 

The little things make up our lives, so it’s important to enjoy them.
