One Family’s Journey to Reduce ADHD Symptoms Naturally

CLIENT STORY: 

 

One year ago this month, my 8-year-old son ran away from home.

And it was all because he didn’t get to watch as much TV as he thought he should get. 

I chased him all over town on foot for about 2 hours as he ducked behind cars and attempted to lose me. At one point, he succeeded. It was then I reached full-blown panic mode. 

I’m sure you can imagine the thoughts running through my head…

What if someone kidnaps him? 

What if he gets hurt? Or lost? 

When I finally came back home (and thankfully, he had returned as well and was safe in his room), I immediately called the psychiatrist we had been working with and asked for medication. 

I had wanted to avoid it, but he was no longer safe, so I thought this was my only option. We started him on medication, and it was a disaster. His symptoms either got worse or he was like a zombie or there were side effects we couldn’t ignore. 

No medication was working for him. 

So when I saw an ad for Dana’s free webinar, I jumped at the chance to watch it. 

Before watching that webinar, I had no idea changing food alone could make such a big difference. And honestly, even after watching the webinar, I thought, 

There’s no way this can actually work! 

I was terrified to get my hopes up…terrified of being disappointed again. But also terrified NOT to do something. 

So we took a chance, and I’m so glad we did. He hasn’t run away again since we made the changes Dana suggested in her program. He’s also calmer and less rigid in his thinking.   

My son is still the strong-willed boy he was before, but I’m not scared anymore. I don’t walk around like I used to, just waiting for the next tantrum. 

It’s been one year since we joined Dana’s program, and though it didn’t fix every single difficulty in our home, it fixed SO MANY that it was definitely worth it. 

I get that it’s expensive. I get that it’s hard to try another thing. Believe me, I really do. But if I had to do it all over again, I would do it for sure.
